OUR MISSION

Guide, nurture, and empower New Zealanders to find meaning and purpose through sustainable employment.

It’s about helping someone get to a point where they’re ready for work, putting them in the right environment, and giving them the best chance of staying there.

How we DO IT

There can be a lot to sort out before starting work.

It might be a driver licence, training, transport, confidence, interview preparation, work gear, health support or simply finding a job that actually suits them. We work through those things with the person before and during the move into employment. And once they start, we stay involved where needed. That ongoing pastoral care is a big part of what makes I’m In different.

we get to know the jobseekers needs

We start by getting to know the person properly. Their experience, what they’re good at, what they want to do and what might be getting in the way.

we Get them

work-ready

We focus on the practical things that need to happen before employment. That could include licences, training, CV support, interview preparation, transport or other support.

we Find the

right opportunity

We believe finding the right person for the right role should be at the forefront of what we do. This gives the best chance of stayin in employment long-term

we Support

the transition

Starting a job can be a big adjustment.  We keep in touch with the employee and employer, helping deal with issues early and supporting the person as they settle into work.

Our impact
in the community

Since starting in 2023, we’ve helped more than 600 Kiwis move off benefit and into work.

Our goal is to support thousands of New Zealanders into meaningful work every year by 2030, and grow across the nation while keeping the same focus on people, employers and employment that lasts.

Built around long-term employment.

We’re not interested in placing someone into a job just to tick a box. We're funded to get people in work, and stay in work.

That means finding the right person for the right role, and looking beyond the first day and thinking about what will help that person succeed over the months that follow.

THIS WAY, IT'S BETTER FOR THE EMPLOYEE & THE EMPLOYER

for jobseeker,
by jobseeker

Most of our team know what it’s like to be on a benefit, look for work, and try to figure out what comes next. Many of us came through that experience ourselves before joining I’m In.
