Imagine if you could help people find meaningful work while unlocking the full potential of your business. What difference could you make?
At I’m In, that’s exactly what we’re passionate about. We partner with businesses to make hiring the right people simple and effective. By providing tailored pre-employment support, we help businesses connect with motivated, capable individuals who are ready to contribute, so employers can focus on what they do best while we take care of the social support side.
Our work goes far beyond simply matching people with jobs. Through strong pastoral care and ongoing support, we make sure jobseekers don’t just get hired, they settle in, grow, and stay in their roles long term. This creates real, lasting success for both employees and employers, building stronger workplaces and communities, increasing retention.
We’re proud to have been recognized for this approach, winning the Wellington Impact Gold Award in 2025 and being finalists for Small Business of the Year and Diversity & Inclusion at the Wellington Regional Business Excellence Awards.
These acknowledgments reflect the positive impact we’re making and inspire us to keep growing.
Looking ahead, we have big plans to expand nationwide. Our mission is clear: to support thousands of New Zealanders into meaningful work every year by 2030. We believe that with the right support, everyone can succeed, and together, we can help businesses thrive by connecting them with the talent they need.
Partner with us to empower Kiwis, reduce hiring costs for your business through our fully funded services, and make every hire a meaningful one. Changing lives while meeting your workforce needs, It’s a win for your business, a win for jobseekers, and a win for Aotearoa.
OUR
MISSION
Guide, nurture, and empower New Zealanders to find meaning and purpose through sustainable employment.

Catherine
Hi, I’m Catherine and part of the fantastic I’m In team! I spent years moving in and out of benefits, struggling to find work that truly resonated with me. After about 90 days in the I’m In pre-employment programme, they took a chance on me—and everything changed. For the first time, I felt genuinely heard and supported. Now I work across MSD sites in Wellington, helping others into sustainable employment. I’ve gained NZQA-accredited sales training, completed a mental health first aid certificate, and I’m working toward my driver’s licence. I’m proud to be paying it forward!

Nick
I’m Nick. For over two years, I was on a benefit and freelancing, but it was tough to cover my bills. Joining I’m In changed my outlook completely. The support and motivation I received reignited my drive, and being surrounded by positive, believing people boosted my mental health. The first 90 days of intense training taught me so much. Now, I’m excited about my future and proud to help others on their journey too.

Lucas
My name’s Lucas. Before joining I’m In, I’d been on a benefit for over 12 months and was struggling to keep up with rent. I thought self-employment or going back to the trades might be the answer, but neither felt right. After working through I’m In’s programme, I gained clarity and confidence. Now I’m proud to support others facing similar challenges. It’s an honour to give back to a programme that helped me find my path when I needed it most.

Te Aratu
Kia ora, I’m Te Aratu. Having been on a benefit multiple times, I understand how tough it can be to find your way again. Working at I’m In allows me to support others through their struggles with empathy and understanding. I’m proud to walk alongside jobseekers and inspire hope—showing them there is light at the end of the tunnel. This work means everything to me.

Justin
I’m Justin. I was on a benefit for two years and felt the weight of stigma as no one gave me a chance. Joining I’m In was a turning point. Now, I love my role supporting others into work. My favourite part is meeting people one-on-one and offering honest, practical guidance that helps jobseekers move forward quickly. It’s rewarding to be someone who believes in people, because I know how much it matters.
