97.5% Success rate
10 May 2025
At I’m In, we are focused on supporting young people into real jobs and long-term careers. Our Community Job Coaching Programme continues to deliver strong results, with 97.5% of participants moving into sustainable employment. This shows what can happen when young people are given the right support, practical tools and genuine opportunities.
The programme is designed to help young jobseekers gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workplace. Each participant works with a dedicated coach who gets to know their goals, strengths and challenges. Together, they cover job searching, CV preparation, interview practice and building confidence in communication. Many participants tell us that having someone in their corner, encouraging them and helping them stay on track, makes all the difference.
A key part of the programme is our connection with employers who are open to hiring young talent. We work closely with businesses across Wellington to match participants with roles that suit their interests and skills. These partnerships give young people access to real opportunities and hands-on experience. Employers benefit too, gaining motivated young team members who are eager to learn and contribute.
Once a participant secures a job, our support does not stop there. We check in regularly to make sure they are settling in well and adjusting to workplace expectations. This ongoing guidance helps young people build confidence and stay motivated during their first months in employment.
Every young person enters the programme with their own story and goals. Whether they move into hospitality, warehousing, administration, trades or further study, we are proud to see them take positive steps toward a stable and successful future.
The Community Job Coaching Programme is proof that with the right support, young people can achieve great outcomes. We are committed to continuing this work and helping more young people build strong futures for themselves, their families and their wider communities.
